Floyd Lamb Park's green landscape can make its working-ranch history easy to overlook. Historic Tule Springs Ranch sits within the park, offering a way to think about earlier Las Vegas life alongside the ponds, trees and mountain views that draw visitors today.
The City of Las Vegas lists October 30, 2026 as one of the park's free-entry days. Use that date as a reason to make a focused self-guided visit, while checking current notices for any special arrangements. Free park entry does not imply a scheduled tour, a reserved picnic area or every separately arranged activity.
October–March hours are 8 a.m.–5 p.m. at 9200 Tule Springs Road. On ordinary paid-entry days, the current fee is $6 per vehicle, and the gatehouse accepts debit or credit cards rather than cash. The city describes an alternative of paying cash at a city community center and bringing the receipt.
Look for the relationship between the ranch's historic spaces and the surrounding landscape. Give wildlife room and do not feed it; a photograph from an earlier visit is not a promise that the same bird will appear. Plan enough daylight to leave before closing. A single question about the ranch's daily work can give this return visit a different purpose from an ordinary park walk.
